CONTENT AND FORMAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PREPARATION OF HEALTH SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS
SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS:

Please send it via email to healthsciences@uni-miskolc.hu attached in a Microsoft Word (doc., docx.) format.

 

CONDITION FOR SUBMISSION OF THE MANUSCIPT:

  • the manuscript has not been published yet (except for abstract presentation); conference articles that have been previously accepted elsewhere may only be submitted for re-publication if they are fully revised and contain at least 50% new results. In this case, the publisher's official license is required. In addition, the following text should be written in the manuscript: "The article is a revised and extended version of the article published (name / location / time of conference) earlier";
  • the manuscript has been approved by all authors;
  • the thesis meets the requirements of the Declaration of Helsinki (1975, revision 2008);
  • human studies have been conducted on the basis of the authorization of the competent ethics committee;
  • experiments with laboratory animals were carried out according to the relevant regulations.

 

STRUCTURE OF MANUSCRIPTS:

The text of the manuscript should include the following chapters:

  1. Summary in English language
  2. Keywords in English language
  3. Text
  4. References
  5. Tables, charts, graphs (if any)

 

All articles, those prepared upon request as well, go through a parallel, anonymous proofreading. Before submitting the manuscript, please make sure that the text of the manuscript does not include the author(s) name and their job contact details. If it is indispensable to indicate the name of the author, the term "author" should be used instead of the name of the author.

 

The editorial board also accepts a so-called review report if there is no doubt about the topicality of the topic being processed. The requirements for preparing the review article are the same as described above.

EDITING AND SUBDIVISION OF THE MANUSCRIPT:

The first page of the manuscript (cover page) contains the following parts:

  1. Title of the manuscript (font size: 12 pt, font: Times New Roman, large, bold). Please provide the title of the manuscript in English as well in all respect consistent with the Hungarian version.
  2. Name of author(s) (font size: 12 pt, font: Times New Roman, large)
  3. Name of workplaces (Faculty and institution with upper index number, font size: 12 pt, Times New Roman). Beside the names of the authors, this number is also included in the upper index used to mark the workplace. In case of one author the numbering is necessary only if the author records/signs the work/job representing more jobs.
  4. Data of the corresponding author (name, name and address of workplace, telephone, e-mail address). Please mark the corresponding author with a star character (*) next to the author’s name. For the sake of easier contact, please provide the mobile phone number of the corresponding author as well but it would not be included in the published version.
  5. Short title: 3-6 words.

Short title: Opportunities for regenerative medicine treatment

 

The second page of the manuscript contains the following parts:

  1. Summary: maximum 250 words in length. During the edition the following considerations should be taken into account: it should be material, 1/3.  only reading the summary is sufficient to understand the point. Abbreviations should only be included in exceptionally justified cases. Please provide the summary and keywords in English as well in all respect consistent with the Hungarian version!
  2. Keywords: 3-6 keywords can be specified.
  3. Text: Should be clear, this is especially important for the reader. The text section should be subdivided into "INTRODUCTION", "MATERIALS AND METHODS", "RESULTS", "DISCUSSION" and "CONCLUSION" sections. Please note that the "ACKNOWLEDGMENT" section should follow the "CONCLUSION" section and precede the "LITERATURE" section if the authors wish to do so.
  4. Literature: Quotations, references should be indicated in the order of appearance in the text, numbers should be given in square brackets with font size 12pt. In the case of publications electronically accessible, it is necessary to specify the DOI.

  1. Tables, graphs, charts and pictures
  • Charts and tables should be prepared in black and white in the manuscript. Use colour graphics only in very justified cases.
  • The charts and tables should always be included in the manuscript in an editable format. Please also include the charts and tables in the text.
  • Tables and graphs should be indicated with numbered titles placed below the charts. The chart and its title should be centered in italics with font size 12pt. Please do not place a title within the chart. The chart is numbered in Arabic numerals with a period at the end.
  • The tables should be indicated with numbered titles, placed above the table. The table and its title should be centered in italics with font size 12pt.

 

Guidelines

The names of anatomical, pathological and histological names, pathogens, disease names, surgical procedures and protected medicinal names are written in Latin. In the case of chemical names or abbreviations the internationally accepted chemical name should be used.

Fonts, formatting


- Main text: use Times New Roman font, size 12pt, 1.5 line spacing. The main text is always in normal standing letter/character.

  • Margin ratios on A / 4 paper in cm:

• internal margin: 2.5 cm

• outer margin: 2.5 cm

• header margin: 2.5 cm

• footer margin: 2.5 cm

  • Pages of the manuscript should be numbered continuously. The text should be divided into indents and should be written continuously within the indents. The indents of the publication should be justified.
  • The titles of individual chapters (e.g. Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, etc.) should be in a separate line at the beginning of the line with bold and in font size 12pt.

 

Uniformity, consistency, consciousness

All manuscripts should comply with the English spelling rules. Texts with the same content and function should always be written consistently. If abbreviations are used in the text, in all cases the full name must be written first (followed by the abbreviations in brackets), and then should the abbreviations be used.

 

Characters

Make sure that digit 1 and characters I, i, number 0 and characters O, o are different characters on the computer. There should not be space before the punctuation marks but always after them.

Please note that the Hungarian initiator quotation mark (") and the Hungarian closing quotation mark (") are required (Hungarian typography does not use the following double line quotation marks ("").

 

Highlights

In written text italics, exceptionally bold is used; underlining and expanded spacing are used only in exceptional cases. The typography of highlighting the important parts from their content should not be jointly bold and italic.

 

TASKS AFTER THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE PUBLICATIONS:

If you receive any request or have any task related to the submitted manuscript, you will receive an email notification. If the manuscript has been accepted for publication, it will be returned to the author with the modifications proposed by the reviewers. Please read thoroughly and correct the manuscript as it is the last opportunity to make substantive changes before the publication. Please return the revised version within 2 weeks. When the article prepared in wrapped and PDF format before the publication, it is returned to the author once again for review. At this stage only misspelling and slight formatting problems can be corrected. If no change is received within 5 days, the text will appear in that form.

 

CHARGE OF PUBLISHING THE ARTICLE

Publishing of the article is free of charge for the authors.
